Plantar Warts
In a healthy individual plantar warts are harmless viral infections of the skin.
They can occur anywhere on the foot but are most common on the soles of the feet or on the toes. You may have one or several. They can appear as round, raised lumps on the skin. Sometimes they have rough surface and small dark spots in them. People often mistake them for corns. If left alone most plantars warts will get better within a year or two.
Only Plantar Warts that are painful should be treated. There is a range of pharmaceutical and homeopathic remedies available. Discuss with your podiatrist.
